Senior C++ engineer, High Frequency Trading Firm
A prominent medium sized hedge fund based in New York, is seeking a highly skilled C++ engineer to join their Front office trading technology team. There are a number of Greenfield project in the pipeline, so a very exciting time to help shape the business and its proprietary systems. You will also be working in a small dynamic team, giving you control around architecture, design and implementation. Total compensation packages ranging from $350,000 – $600,000.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance trading systems using C++.
- Utilize modern C++ OOP techniques to design components of trading systems.
- Develop and maintain execution engines, ensuring efficient and reliable order execution.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in software development using C++.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented programming.
- Solid knowledge of low-latency trading systems and high-performance computing.
- Familiarity with distributed systems, multi-threading, and network programming.
- Experience working in the financial industry, preferably with trading systems or hedge funds.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
